MIP-1300 Feedwheel Steel Strap Tensioner
The MIP 1300 tool is the value version of the Signode T type tool. The steel strapping is fed around the bundle, then both straps are inserted under the wheel. The operator squeezes the handle to lift the wheel, and releases when ready to pull tension. Cranking the handle pulls the strap tight. The MIP1300 gets several hundred pounds of tension. If you really lean on the handle you can get more.

Allstrap Opinion (January 2020): MIP's 1300 is now made in India. We are disappointed MIP moved from Chicago to manufacturing in India, since they forgot to lower their prices. We have seen some quality problems with these tools. The MIP1300 is still a decent tool, but we now prefer the USA made EP-1425 tensioner or the T34FRW tensioner.
